    Description

    This is a lovely thinly carved cameo with nice detailing, it is carved, not molded.  The other mounts I have seen similar to this had a gold finish on them.  This one has a few spots that indicates it may have had a finish at one time, but it is the base metal, which I believe is brass.  This would probably have been carved in approximately the 1930s.  There is no indication that there was ever a pin attached to the back.  The pendant bail is still usable.
