Vernon Kilns Pottery, Vernon, CA  1916-1960       This large hors d'oeuvre platter from the Rhythmic pattern designed by the Hamilton sisters, May and Vieve who worked at Vernon for a brief time in the 1930's.    The large handle has sculpted fish design.    The blue color is most accurate in the main photo.   Comes from the estate of the late Bill Sterns, founder of the Museum of CA Design in Los Angeles.    Platter is in great condition and signed.    Measures 15 1/2" x about 4" tall in the center.    Last photo shows this design in our reference book.
