RARE VERNON KILNS PLATE- MILWAUKIE OREGON CENTENNIAL 1850-1950 MILWAUKIE STORY

Description

This interesting and rare Vernon Kilns Souvenir Plate was commissioned for the Centennial Celebration of Milwaukie Oregon 1850-1950.  Scenes on the front of the Plate depict the founding father Lot Whitcomb 1848; the Steamer Lot Whitcomb; Lewelling House; the Old Episcopal Church; The Verandah Hotel; Standard Mills; City Hall; and Milwaukie Union High School.  The back of the plate has the story of Milwaukie as told by a high school instructor.  And it tells who designed the plate and credits the Milwaukie Historical Society.  The Plate is 10 " wide and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
