ARKANSAS COLLECTOR PLATE 1943 Vernon Kilns Blue & White 10 3/8" Vintage Souvenir

Description

This handsome blue and white souvenir collector plate features ARKANSAS and was made by Vernon Kilns in 1943. The 10 3/8" plate is in very nice vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. There are some scratches on the front of the plate, likely where another plate was stored on top with no padding. The plate features the state Capitol building centered in a state-shaped outline, surrounded by various vignettes unique to the state. Included are the Army-Navy Hospital in Hot Springs, Old Main at the University of Arkansas, oil refineries in El Dorado and scenes representing pine lumber and duck hunting. The plate's border includes flowers and cotton bolls.
