    Description

    This is a set of two paper dolls )plus a dog) from a May 1953 Jack and Jill magazine for children. The paper dolls are from the center pages of the magazine. The pages are attached to one another. The title of the paper dolls is “ LISETTE and ANDRE”. The artist is Ann Eshner. The children are modeled from children in Paris. There is a story about the children on one of the reverse pages. Both of the paper dolls have a sailor themed outfit and are holding a sailboat. The sailboats are mentioned in the story.
    Lisette has 4 outfits plus two hats, a bouquet of flowers and a neckscarf.
    Andre has 5 articles of clothes, a hat and a neckscarf.
    There is a French Poodle dog and he has a sweater.
    The reverse of one of the pages tells how to mount cut-outs.
