Description
A powerful image after a painting by Charles Nicolas Sarka!This war propaganda poster was issued by the Liberty Loan Committee to encourage Americans to purchase Liberty Bonds in support of the war effort. It is signed "Sarka" in the image and copywritten by Leslie's in 1918. The lower margin has a union bug.
Printed on a 19" x 12" sheet of thin, newsprint-like paper.
Condition:
Lightly toned, otherwise in surprisingly very good condition for the type of paper it's printed on. A period poster, not a reproduction.
